COME BACK TO THE CROSS - Jimmy Swaggart reads 1st Corinthians 6:11, teaching how believers, who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb are no longer what they once were. The Cross was and is the message for the world. Faith in the finished work of Christ can lift our heaviest burdens, for His ways are higher and more powerful than all that Satan puts in our path. The Lord told Brother Swaggart, I’m going to show you some things about the Holy Spirit you do not now know; and over the years it has been precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little. Everything must line up with the Word of God. The answer that we seek is found in the Cross, and only in the Cross. The Holy Spirit works exclusively within the parameters of the finished work of Christ. We will find victory in our lives when our faith is anchored in the Cross. We can be encouraged, for it is not easy to turn out the light that God has put in a soul. Brother Swaggart ended the service calling those to prayer who have yet to give their lives to Jesus Christ as their Savior. Lord, I’m coming home.
